What is the Stitch On Time licensing and copyright policy?

*By purchasing any design from SOTdigitizing you automatically agree to comply with our terms and conditions.

*All embroidery designs for sale at www.sotdigitizing.com were created by Stitch On Time artists and digitizers. As such, they are protected by copyright law.

*When you make a purchase from our website, you are purchasing a license to sew the design. The design remains the property of Stitch On Time and SOTdigitizing.

*The license that is sold to you allows you to sew the design, and use the result in the following manners: personal use, donations to charity & gifts. This includes Boutique usage provided that the quantity does not exceed 500 items for sale. If you require use for more than 500 items for sale a commercial license will be required, please contact us at orders@sotdigitizing.com for a license price. All licenses prohibit resale, trading, sharing, and distributing of the original embroidery file. The use of our images for Screen Printing or Image Transfers is PROHIBITED. The use of our images for Bottle Cap Sheets or Bottle Caps is PROHIBITED.

*The design file may not be distributed in any format, or by any method. You are allowed to edit the design in any manner that you choose, but the edited design file is also copyrighted by Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing, and may not be distributed, shared, or sold. You are not allowed to have design files edited in whole or in part by a third party commercial digitizer without prior written permission from SOTdigitizing.

*The images used for digitizing these designs are authorised. They have been either paid for by myself or are the subject of public domain and therefore do not violate any encouraging infringement.

None of the designs displayed on this website are direct copies from anywhere else, please be aware though that there may be claims from third parties of recognisable subjects or objects. Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing stresses that they create their own directly uncopied designs, third parties may contest this, all designs are sold on the basis that third parties may claim rights of interest. Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing sells designs on the basis that any contestation is the responsibility of the buyer of Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing Products and that Stitch On Time ? SOTdigitizing is not responsible or liable for any claim by such third parties. The sale and usage of all Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing products is sold on the strict understanding that such third part claims are the sole responsibility of the user of any Stitch On Time products or designs. Any copyright issues of any kind whatsoever must be addressed by the purchaser of any Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing products or designs. Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any dispute relating to any ownership or copyright issues. This is a strict term of condition of sale. All sales and purchases from Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing are strictly sold on this firm understanding.

* Our terms and conditions of sale include that once ‘purchased’, the storage and safe keeping of any design is the sole responsibility of the customer. Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing makes no guarantee or pledge to re-supply any design for any reason whatever. This includes loss or difficulties due to the failure of a customer’s hard drive, storage disks, email inbox or any other electronic issue. Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing strongly advises that customers apply suitable back-up policies to safeguard the designs. The facility for customers to apply multiple repeated downloads of previously purchased Instant Downloads from the Stitch On Time / SOTdigitizing website is intended as a temporary service of convenience but does not form any part of a ‘contract’ or ‘re-supply guarantee’ in any way. Customers are advised to immediately download all purchased designs from the website and apply their own local back-up.
